Who and What is Rushem
Rushem
RUSHEM originally started in 2010, in a town called Kahalu'u, up Kaala'ea Rd In Oahu Hawaii. At first it was Rushem Surfboards Hawaii custom shaped surfboards, and eventually it transitioned into apparel and surfboard accessories. Rushem has moved from Hawaii to Florida and now is under the name Rushem Apparel, The plans are to make Rushem Apparel be a hybrid for Apparel, surfboard accessories, and surfboards.

What is the word Rushem?
The word Rushem for me doesn't emphasize speed or a rush like ooooohhh what a rush!, but it has a powerful command of taking risks and not having fear. I first heard the word Rushem when I was surfing at Vland on the North Shore of Oahu, as a youngster in my early teens, my Dad and the Elders in the the surf line up would keep an eye on us young ones, and every time a big wave would roll in they would yell at me saying go boy! go go go!, Rushem Just Rushem!, no be scared! Rushem boy!, every time I heard them yelling those words it would instill an unlimited amount of bravery in my soul and immediately I would start paddling as hard as I could to catch that wave, whether I wiped out or got shacked those words helped me to try my hardest with no fear, it was so rewarding in the end. and that is Rushem
